The crispy cakes go missing from the picnic and the children have to re-trace their steps around the farm to find them. Luckily they can understand the animals and some of the them offer the children their lunch instead!  None of them seem to eat crispy cakes as part of their normal diet, but maybe Gracie, the goat, with her magical powers can help them.

Why were the children able to understand the animals?  Who has seven babies? Who eats worms? Why is there a commotion in the hen house? Who goes "Maa"? What are baby bunnies called? Where are those crispy cakes, and where can you find the recipe?
